#6. The Undiscovered Part of Earth

http://www.schmidtocean.org/story/show/1457

We all know how large our planet is and compared to outer space, it's very tiny.  Scientists can discover things in space millions of light years away but can't map out our very own ocean.  It is said that we only have explored about 5% of our oceans.  That leaves 95% undiscovered which is a huge chunk in our deep seas.  I can't come to the conclusion of why we can't find out more of the ocean, but yet we are in the vast space and time continuum uncovering the unknown.

Our seas has been deadly with it's 352 quintillion gallons of water and with only 1/20 of it being discovered (5% / 100%) it's hard to say what we have hidden in the ocean.  With all of the marine life discovered already, there is so much more that we can learn.  Species that have been unveiled or even species that have became knowingly extinct can be hidden under the gallons of water that is essential to it's life.  Marine- biology has covered a lot of our marine life but it's ridiculous how much more there is.

Comparing our discoveries from the ocean to space is one that is heavily disputed.  Many say that it's harder to find what's in the ocean because of the dangers the come along with it and for space, it's just the fact that you need money to go travel into the black sky.  We know much more of space compared to Earth and it goes to show how big Earth really is even if it's a tiny dot in the galaxy.

#5. To the Window, to the Wall-E

Seeing the whole community act as if they are being brainwashed into thinking that they are living life.  My genuine reaction to that clip was that, our society is coming close to what was shown in the clip.  Granted, it's not happening now but I believe that was a gentle warning to us that we are slowly turning into non functioning humans and have to have robots think for us and talk for us.  It's deep if you actually analyze the clip.  It shows the many faces of humans that are obese and aren't able to live without technology.  It digs deeper than that when that guy fell off the chair and couldn't pick himself up without a helping robotic hand.  This film does show us relevant commentary on what we are turning into but not necessarily on our present culture and society.

Humans are being blinded by big industries that profit off their well-being and health.  They are being so used to technology that if they don't have it in their life, it must be difficult to live.  Babies are being born to learn the company's logo and what it does for them.  These industries want to take over the world just for profit and power and wants for humans to rely on their technology to live for these industries.  They get nothing but money and you have been altered into thinking that you need them for your will of survival.

That lady actually saw how the real world was when her face to face call was cancelled.  She was shocked to see that it was her first time seeing behind the screen and it really change her facial expression.  She had not seen all of this before because all of the human race was programmed to bypass the background and just to focus on the screen in front of them.  In a way humans turn to their phone more than live life.  That's what I think Pixar had in mind to teach us.

#4. Apples Innovative Technology

http://www.askmen.com/top_10/entertainment/top-10-ways-apple-changed-the-world.html

Apple has certainly gone a long way in such a short amount of time.  This company changed the way we see the world in less than a decade with their never ending advance technology.  Every year there is something new that lies between the screen and the back cover of the phone.  It is known that Apple is the biggest and most valuable company taking in a revenue of nearly 234 billion in 2015 alone.  When Apple dropped it's "iPhone 6" it revolutionized smart phones and it's competitor Samsung was left behind with the massive amount of sales Apple had taken in.  Apple has been known for making use of every single measurement of the phone.  It's perfection off the production line is one that holds true to the company.

Apple has had impacted many things in modern day life like: art, commercials, gave technology a new look, made using a computer more easier and efficient, let us use the invention of the touch screen, created applications that are useful for us, helped us find music much easier, and made brand new gadgets that were appropriate for everyday living.  Maybe it hasn't hit most of us yet, but thanks to Apple, living life has became more enjoyable and gave us hobbies to learn.  Apple has some amazing products that altered the way we live.

Apple's competitors Microsoft is keeping up with the technology; however, isn't doing well with the style of their phones.  Celebrities nowadays are known to use Apple products compared to Microsoft and not because they are sponsored to, but because the vast majority of people today think Apple is easier to navigate through and that their technology offers more.  Even though I don't condone that the amount of technology today is taking over, I still strongly believe in technology and know it will take us some places that we haven't been able to get to before.

#3. Don't Text and Drive

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MP4WNCGgHEc

Texting and driving is an important concept that the majority of teenagers need to understand.  Society doesn't see the importance in risking a life over being on the phone.  The average text takes about 6 or 7 seconds, try and close your eyes for that brief 6 or 7 seconds and see where you end up.  Chances are, you're either swerving into another lane or crossing between two lanes.  Closing your eyes is the same concept as texting and driving, your eyes aren't on the road.  Is a couple of texts to your friends worth risking your life but also others on the road?  In this social experiment, it's shown that people aren't aware of the dangers that they put themselves through and others over a simple conversation that can be done when arrived at the destination or they can simply pull of to the side of the road.  Most accidents are because of our phones and it's likely to not only take your eyes off the road but also your mind.  You have to be mentally ready to drive; although it may seem weird, but if your mind is off on something else and your crossing a red light without really noticing, it's going to be a recipe for disaster.

Spreading awareness for this is important because about 11 teens a day are killed from texting and driving.  That might not seem like a huge number but what if your family got affected by this?  Don't take your life for granted over a text and more importantly don't take other's innocent lives because of your reckless behavior.
